Select high-efficiency Whirlpool® HVAC products may qualify for purchase incentives in the U.S. and Canada. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides federal tax credits of up to $1,500 on qualifying purchases. Many state and local governments and utility companies also offer tax breaks and incentives for installing energy-efficient HVAC products.

Keep all paperwork associated with your purchase including the manufacturer's certificate. The I.R.S. has directed taxpayers to use Form 5695 (2009 version) to claim the tax credit.
